? Orleans: 88,009 policies with an average of $866.70 a year
? Plaquemines: 6,121 policies at an average of $773.39
? Jefferson: 97,648 policies at an average of $738.99
? St. Charles: 11,920 policies at an average of $684.03
? St. John: 6,506 policies at an average of $643.61
? St. Bernard: 12,132 policies at an average of $588.87
? St. Tammany: 35,719 policies at an average of $553.16 and
? St. James: 829 policies at an average of $410.01.
Statewide, there were 491,150 policies with an average annual premium of $691.07, while there were nearly 5.6 million policies nationwide with an average of $613.98.
Florida had the most with nearly 2.1 million policies at an average of $482.42, followed by Texas with 666,379 policies at an average of $529.51.
